Description:
It's been over a year since I, Candace, took a break from teaching yoga. So much has shifted in the world, in our community, in me as a teacher and practitioner of yoga during this time away. Amidst these shifts yoga has continued to remain a deep part of who and how I show up in this life. Even though this time off from teaching yoga was much needed, I have been feeling the call to return to teaching yoga once again. So it's with a joyful heart that I make this offering available for FREE to BIPOC in VT and beyond.
Slow Yoga & Meditation is a virtual space for folks to connect to their bodies and experience the magic and medicine of yoga and meditation.
You can join the class with whatever you have available to you for supplies and equipment; whether that's a yoga mat or a rug or a towel, yoga pants or comfy clothes, yoga blocks or a couple large cans or a stack of books, a yoga bolster or a couch cushion. Join the class if you have practiced yoga for years or if you've never taken a yoga class before.
My approach to teaching is informed from decades of working in the field of oppression-based trauma as well as a lifetime of living with chronic pain. My style is rooted in the lineage of Hatha Yoga with an emphasis on self inquiry, encouraged autonomy within your personal practice and always g e n t l e n e s s. We move slowly, take time through out practice to observe and the vibe of every class is centered around REST as a REVOLUTIONARY act of both self & communal LOVE.
Aromatherapy, pranayama, free movement, philosophy, reiki, self-massage as well as restorative/yin postures are often apart of the tapestry of modalities woven together in my classes.
I look forward to seeing you in class!
Feel free to email me about this offering at [email protected].
