Description:
In nearly every culture across the globe, humans have met the urge for self expression with storytelling and adornment. Ancient cultures used metals, precious stones, and textiles to express their stories and pass on their legends.
Honoring the roots of our global world allows us to extend symbolic energy.
Adorn your own pieces in this hands-on workshop where you’ll learn the basics of stamping on metal to create personalized jewelry and accessories. We’ll discuss the necessary metalworking tools and materials needed and get right to work practicing the technique. Have fun stamping patterns, words or a short phrase that is meaningful to you. All necessary materials, equipment, and instruction will be provided. We will be working with brass, copper and aluminum, great lead and nickel free soft metals.
By the end of the workshop we will add the finishing touches to your masterpiece and you will be able to wear or use your new piece or even give it as a thoughtful custom gift!
